Years and years and years ago… I started a website called Scribbles and Notes. I can’t even remember what it was about at the time but I think it was literally just random things. I abandoned it also years ago and just now I figured you know what? How cool would it be to bring Scribbles and Notes back to life but this time about actual scribbles and actual notes.
My Journal Obsession
I’ve been journaling long before it became a thing. I must have started somewhere around when I was 8 years old. Kept a diary probably until I was around 25 or so at which point I stopped for a couple of years.
In the meantime I did still keep on writing travel journals. That has always been a constant. If you check out the pile of notebook on the post about how to start a travel journal, it tells you all! Plus it is just a small stack. And the last couple of years I’m fully back into journaling. Including all the supplies, all the washi, all the stickers, all the fountain pens. I thought it would be a cool thing to have a website dedicated to my journaling practice and give some tips in the meantime.
I wouldn’t want to call myself an expert because who really is? But I do know a thing or two about journaling, keeping a travel journal and what the best fountain pen is for beginners. It will grow alongside me. Or not. We’ll see!
Who Am I
My name is Simone and I live in the Netherlands with my two cats; Humphrey and Buffy. I am a food photographer, food blogger and travel enthusiast. So you might find a thing or two about my travels here too. I still have to figure this thing out!
Most of all it is a place for me to have fun. Without the rules and without all the business decisions I always have to make for my food blog. If you do want to check that one out: It’s In Simone’s Kitchen.
