I thought it would be a nice idea to highlight some of my blog favorites here. You might now some of these already or you might not, but in any case these are some of my all time favorites. I’m thinking of giving you one a week…
To start of I want to show you a blog of a good friend of mine: Meeta Wolff.
Meeta’s blog, what’s for lunch honey, has been one of the first food blogs I ever started reading and from the start she has been a great inspiration. Her styling and her photography are beautiful, but so are her stories. And her blog doesn’t really need any introduction as it is immensely popular and has won many prices already.
I had the good fortune to meet Meeta in person for the first time during the inaugural session of Plate to Page in May of 2011. I felt a connection with her then and we have met each other a couple of times since and possibly again this year too.. It’s a good tradition to at least see each other once a year right?
Meeta is not only one of the teachers of plate to page but she also gives various workshops on the topics of food styling and food photography, with the next one coming up in March in Weimar! I would have gone (again) but since we’re just coming back from our trip then… It is not to be…
Meeta is giving this particular workshop together with Sandy Neumann another great blogger that I had the good fortune to meet during another workshop in Weimar…
If you have the chance sign up! And if not, go and visit Meeta’s blog…. You’ll love it…

Oh I love this idea!!! Meeta is awesome
Yep, she definitely is!
Oh I wish I could meet up with the both of you more often! I think a Plate to Page redux is needed! Meeta is truly inspiring, her stories and her photos are beautiful in that they are at once so personal and so universal. I am glad that you are sharing your favorites with us, Simone, and letting us discover and meet those who inspire you!
Thanks so much Jamie and I do think we just have to meet again sometime soon! And guess whose blog is up next?
A Plate2Page redux should definitely be on the cards Jamie! It was an intense inspirational experience and such a pleasure to meet fellow people, passionate about the same thing. If we do a post-grad, all the different alumni will get to meet for the first time and I will meet you Simone!
This blog post was a great idea – it’s the little boosts that we food bloggers give each other that helps me stick at it and continue creating. xxx
I could not agree more! Love to meet you too Hayley and hope to see you at the plate to page reunion! Hint, hint…
I got the chance to meet Meeta at one of her workshops in Dubai and yes I have been inspired! It was a wonderful experience and I would love to attend another one at some point! Love the idea of you sharing your favorites, thank you!
What a great and lovely description of a wonderful inspiring blog and a wonderful blogger! What’s for lunch honey has been also one of the first food blogs I started reading and I am happy, that I have the chance to see Meeta again this month in London
I am touched Simone! Thank you so much for this. If you could see the grin I have on my face you’d crack up. One of the most rewarding things about having these workshops is really meeting people that you admire, cherish and love. You are very much one of those that I adore very much and am blessed to have your friendship. I look forward to seeing you this year again … maybe in Amsterdam ! Let’s plan when you get back. This was a lovely surprise to wake up to!
Also thank you to all those saying such nice things about me. If I ever am down and need motivating I know I can come here for some cheer and an ego blast! LOL!
